Are you aware about these amazing eye exercises ?

Most of our work involves constantly staring at the screen and that is why our eyes feel heavy and tired at the end of the day. Even get a headache after too much screen time. In that case, we need to take better care of our eyes. Though work is also important and also stay updated with all the social media happenings and that way both kids and adults spend a maximum part of their day in front of a screen. Well, there are many ways to reduce eye strain and the most effective one is eye exercises. At least 10 minutes a day of eye exercise/yoga will make a lot of difference and will reduce that eye strain.

Here are a few exercises which will help you reduce the strain:

Focusing- This exercise is known to be one of the most effective ones and will resolve many focusing problems. You can do this exercise by just sitting near a window in your house/ office where you can get natural light. hold your thumb or index finger a few inches away from your eye, move your thumb away from your face while keeping that focus, now look away from the thumb into the distance and then bring the outstretched thumb slowly towards your eye while holding your focus. Repeat this process thrice.

Blinking- We blink our eyes throughout the day and it keeps the eye moist and allows us to focus for a long time. But do you know that we don’t really blink much when we stare at a device? Because this causes eye strain and poor vision in the long run. Our eyelids are like wipers and each time you blink, the glands produce moisture to cleanse and refresh our eyes. But with that, we also need to do a focused blinking eye exercise and for that, all you need to do is set a timer for two minutes on your phone and blink your eyes every four seconds.

Palming- Any time your eyes feel tired or heavy just do this simple eye exercise anywhere, it will relieve eye stress and strains instantly and you will feel better.

Here how you can do this exercise:

Sit and place your elbows on your table or desk if you don’t have one then rest your hands on to your knees, close your eyes. Palming looks easy but the important part is how you position your hands. So, place the center of your palm on your eyes, your fingers should be on your forehead and the base of your palm should be rested on your cheekbone. Do not press or put pressure so that you are able to blink easily. Repeat 2-3 times at least thrice a day and especially when starting on a device for a long time.
