The veteran faces the IT sector and the former chairman of Wipro has come first in the list of the country’s donors. 75-year-old Azim Premji has donated Rs 7,904 crore in 2020. This has been said in the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2020. Even though Azim Premji is at number 5 in the country’s rich, but in charity, he has surpassed all the rich people including Mukesh Ambani. HCL founder-chairman Shiv Nadar has finished second in Danavirta, while Mukesh Ambani has finished third. He is followed by Kumar Mangalam Birla and Vedanta chairman Anil Agrawal.

Apart from Azim Premji, the 2020 report of Adliv Huron India Philanthropy includes 9 other celebrities who have donated the highest amount of money in various fields. In this list, Shiv Nadar and his family are on the second number, they have donated 795 crores in the field of education. On the third and fourth numbers respectively, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has donated Rs 458 crore for disaster management and Kumar Mangalam Birla has donated Rs 276 crore for education.

In the list, Anil Agarwal has come in at number five with Rs 215 crore, Ajay Piramal at number six with Rs 196 crore, and Nandan Nilkani and Hinduja Brothers at seventh and eighth number with Rs 196 and 159 crore respectively. Gautam Adani of the Adani Group came in the top nine with Rs 88 crore and Rahul Bajaj came in tenth with Rs 74 crore. According to the report, 7 women have secured a place in this complete list of donors. In which Rohini Nilekani became India’s largest dancer woman with a donation of Rs 47 crore followed by Anu Aga and the Thermax family with Rs 36 crore and Kiran Mazumdar Shaw of Biocon with Rs 34 crore.

Vidya Shah, the Chief Executive Chairman of the Adlive Foundation, states that ‘we feel that education is the best way to provide equality and opportunity to earn, live better quality lives and access to better healthcare’. The report states that for the last seven years the top dancers of India have emphasized the field of education. In 2020, 90 donors have donated a total of Rs 9,324 crore. While 84 charities have donated 667 crores. While disaster relief and management, in which 41 donors have donated a total of 354 crores.
