Bank Holiday April: According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) notification, private and public banks across the country will be closed for 15 days in April 2021, including the second fourth Saturday and Sunday. Out of all these bank holidays, eight holidays are for different festivals. Apart from this, banks will remain closed on April 1 due to account closure, while the remaining four are regular holidays including Sundays and two Saturdays. Banks are closed from 27 March to 4 April, except for 2 days on the fourth Saturday and Holi. Banks will be closed on 2 April in the country on Good Friday and 4 April, which is Sunday.
Bank holidays for this month include various festivals like Ram Navami, Good Friday, Bihu, Babu Jagjivan Ram Birthday and Tamil New Year. Banks in Guwahati will remain closed for three consecutive days from April 14 to 16 and due to the festival of Holi in Patna, banks will not undertake any of the four transactions. This month, if you have any work in the bank, then the account holders are advised to make a plan to visit their bank according to the bank’s holiday day list. Even though banks will be closed these days, but mobile and internet banking will remain functional as usual, and hence customers can do transactions through online mode.
