Biplab Dev apologized for the statement about Jat and Sardar, had told- less intelligent

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Dev, who is often in the limelight for his statements, is once again in the discussion about his statement. Biplab Deb had said that Punjabi Sardar is not afraid of anyone. They are very powerful, but they have little mind, no one can win them with strength but can win with love. Not only this, Biplab Dev also commented on the Jats of Haryana. He said that he is less intelligent, but physically healthy. He said that if you challenge Jat, he will bring the gun out of his house. Biplab Dev described the people of Bengal as intelligent.

Apparently after the disputed statements about the people of Haryana and Punjab, there was bound to be a dispute and the result was that Biplab Dev had to apologize while clarifying his statement. Explaining his statement, Biplab Dev said that in an event organized at Agartala Press Club, I had mentioned the views of some people about my Punjabi and Jat brothers. My belief in this was not to hurt any society. I am proud of both the Punjabi and Jat communities and I myself have lived among them for a long time.

Explaining further on his statement, he said that many of my integral friends come from this society but if my statement has hurt anyone’s feelings then I am personally sorry for that. He also said that I always salute the contribution of Punjabi and Jat community in the freedom struggle of the country and I can never think of raising questions on the role played by these two communities in advancing India.
