BJP MP Mansukh Vasava withdraws resignation to get free back pain treatment

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Mansukh Vasava from Bharuch, Gujarat, withdrew his resignation on Wednesday, a day after resigning from the party. Vasava met Chief Minister Vijay Rupani for 45 minutes and after that, he withdrew his decision to quit the BJP. After the meeting, the BJP MP said that he had no problem with the government or the party.

Mansukh Vasava resigned from the party citing illness as the reason. At the same time, it was believed that Mansukh Vasava decided to resign due to his displeasure with an IAS officer. Speaking to the media, Vasava said, “I have a pain in my back and neck and I resigned with the sole purpose of resting. The doctors and the Vaidas who are treating me are of the same opinion that I need to rest. But I have no problem with the government or the party. ”

Without naming the central leadership, Vasava said “I have spoken with the central leadership. He has said that if you remain as an MP then you will be treated with government expenses. But if you resign from the post of MP then the government will not be able to give you that much relief. Therefore, you relax and other party workers in the area will take over your responsibilities. The party is arranging accordingly, therefore, I am withdrawing my decision. ”

Mansukh Vasava wrote a letter to the PM asking for the withdrawal of a notification from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and sent his resignation to Gujarat BJP President CR Patil just a day after that.

In the letter written by the PM, the BJP MP had said that the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change would withdraw the notification of 121 villages in Narmada district to be declared as environmentally sensitive areas. The tribal communities are protesting due to the notification.
