Britain’s dangerous corona strain reached India? Five people from London to Delhi airport were found infected, kept in a care center

While cases of coronavirus are increasing rapidly around the world, there has been a gradual decline in the number of infected and new cases being received daily in India. However, fears about Corona have increased once again in the country. This is due to the new strain of coronavirus found in Britain, which increases the risk of infection by up to 70%. On Monday, the government decided to ban flights coming from Britain. However, fear has arisen once again after the five passengers of the aircraft that came in one night were found infected. Kolkata also found two Corona positive travelers from the UK on Sunday.

News agency ANI quoted the Kovid-19 nodal officer as saying that 266 people, including crew, were aboard the plane that came to Delhi Airport from London one night before. A total of 5 people have been found positive in it. Currently, his samples have been sent to the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) lab for examination. In addition, the infected have also been kept separately in the care center.

Earlier, two flight passengers who had reached Mumbai from London were also taken directly from the airport to the hotel. They were quarantined here. Some passengers expressed displeasure over this and said that they had not been given any information in advance about it.

WHO said – Out of control situation: On the new form of fear of corona in Britain, the World Health Organization says it is possible to stop new strains. “The situation is not out of control but it cannot be left on its own,” Mike Ryan, the organization’s health emergency chief, told a press conference in Geneva. He asked all the countries to take steps whose success has been proved. According to the organization, those infected with new strains infect an average of 1.5 more people, while pre-existing strains in the UK have a reproduction rate of 1.1. There is almost an agreement among virus scientists that the existing vaccines will not be neutralized.

Ban on flights coming from the UK from tonight: No UK B flights will arrive in India after 12 pm on Tuesday. During this time, passengers of all the planes coming in are also being sent home only after RT-PCR investigation. Arrangements have been made to send the passengers whose test report will be found positive to the Quarantine Center. At the same time, for those whose report comes negative, it will be mandatory to stay in the Quarantine for seven days. Earlier, travelers coming from abroad had to get corona examined from there. Passengers were then sent directly to the home quarantine.
