BTS, the 7 member South Korean boy group will be awarded with the highest honor ‘The James A. Van Fleet award’ by the South Korea’s ‘Korea Society’ for their contributions to the USA – Korea relations.

After being awarded with the Order Of cultural merit in 2018, BTS are now one of the three recipients of this year’s Van Fleet award. This award is considered one of the highest honors by the Korea’s society. They will be honored this year at the Korea Society’s Annual Gala Dinner with The James A. Van Fleet Award. The annual gala dinner will be hosted virtually this October and BTS will be receiving the award.

BTS not only remain the youngest recipients of the both awards (Order of Cultural Merit and Van Fleet Award) but also the first and only idol group to be honored by both the awards in their history.

BTS continue to grow and make and break records. The 7 member boy-group has proven to be so much more than just an idol group who sings and dances. They changed the boy-group game and formed it into something of a high level which hardly the other groups can reach.

BTS continue to gain success and keep proving themselves to be so much more than idols- they’re truly the cultural icons we would want our kids to read about in History books. The group is also all-set to release their first ever all English single ‘dynamite’ on August 21 ahead of their anticipated self-made album comeback.
