Cars have existed for well over a century ,  François Isaac de Rivaz designed the first car powered by an internal combustion engine fueled by hydrogen , and after that we have seen various models of car from various makers. Unlike from cars that seem quite similar from what had been made before only few cars are there to be called innovative and that had changed the history.

Karl Benz built the world’s first car , Benz’s Patent-Motorwgen , before this people travelled on horse and buggy. Benz began the first production of automobiles in 1888, after Benz’s wife, Bertha, and their two children went on a 120 mile road trip to prove car safety and the car was truly worth buying.

The Ford’s Model T was produced by Ford Motor Company which brought revolution in industry. They made the cars affordable to middle-class people by using assembly line to produce cars and now ,although with higher technology but its still being used to this day.The Ford’s Model T was sold globally by opening factories all over the world.

Previously people started their cars by cranking the engine by hand which was a dangerous method. And the Cadillac’s Touring Edition  was the first to introduce the electric starter. Cardillac took women’s in Cadillac’s Touring Edition advertisement and attracted the women drivers as it has electric starter which is not hard to start.

The Essex was a brand of automobile produced by the Essex Motor Company between 1918 and 1922 and  by Hudson Motor Company of Detroit ,Michigan  between 1922 and 1933.It began the trend of fully enclosed cars.

Henry Ford had revolutionized the automotive industry by his innovative production line that was more efficient, effective and fast in churning out many cars for the masses. And in 1932 ,Ford V8 Model 18 was the first mass-produced car powered by the new V8 engine which was built from scratch. His design helped Ford produce around 1 million units from 1932 to 1934. The engine used to produce 65 hp but was later tuned to 75 hp in 1933 and 85 hp in 1934.

The Buick Y-Job was the auto industry’s first concept car, produced by Buick in 1938 , designed by Harley J. Earl. It engaged the public’s curiosity by showcasing new designs and technology. The car had power-operated hidden headlamps, a “gunsight” hood ornament, electric windows, wraparound bumpers, flush door handles, and prefigured styling cues used by Buick until the 1950s and the vertical waterfall grille design still used by Buick today.

The Volkswagen’s Beetle was designed by Ferdinand Porsche . Volkswagen’s Beetle is a compact car, produced by Volkswagen from 1938 until 2003 making it the longest-running car model of all time.

Bantam’s jeep was produced by American Bantam Car Company in Butler, Pennsylvania. It was created for the purpose of being used by military to win world war II . Surprisingly , Bantam’s Jeep came with many features like it could go anywhere and do anything, and today it continues to do so all over the world.

The Mini was officially announced to the public on 26 August 1959 and several thousand cars had been produced ready for the first sales. It was the  well known and successful car that continued in production and changed the small car market. Its lightweight designs helped it to win several championships.

10.Cooper’s T43 (1957)

The Cooper T43 was a Formula One and Formula Two racing car designed and built by Cooper Car Company. Cooper T43 won the  first World Drivers’ Championship ,i.e, the 1958 Argentine Grand Prix. Despite this achievement, thecar was superseded almost immediately by the T45.

The first-generation Ford Mustang was manufactured by Ford from March 1964 until 1973. The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of automobile known as the pony car. It was made as a sports cars not as a family car but still it became Ford’s best seller .The Mustang was designed by  sharing its underpinnings with the Falcon, was slotted into a compact car segment.

The El Camino was introduced for the 1959 model year two years after the Ford Ranchero. According to Chevrolet stylist Chuck Jordan, GM Harley Earl had suggested a coupé pickup in 1952.This has 450 horse power with v8 engine which makes it more powerfull and with a great speed.It was made with the same SS454 exterior and interior badging, restyled front end with its domed hood and Blacked-out V-shaped grille, chromed 5-spoke SS wheels, custom vinyl seat trim and special round-faced gauges as the Chevelle SS.

The Audi Quattro is a road and rally car, produced by the German automobile manufacturer Audi, part of the Volkswagen Group. It was first shown at the 1980 Geneva Motor Show on 3 March.Production of the original version continued through 1991.            The original engine was the 2,144 cc (131 cu in) (2.1 L), inline-5-cylinder 10 valve SOHC, with a turbocharger and intercooler. It produced 147 kW (200 PS; 197 bhp) and torque of 285 N·m (210 lbf·ft) at 3500 rpm, propelling the Quattro from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.1s, and reaching a top speed of over 220 km/h (137 mph).Intresting fact is that itproved the effectiveness of a sports car using all-wheel drive vehicle (AWD).

Chrysler’s Minivan is also one of the biggest history changing car design. It became the car of choice for many family’s in United States.By this many competitors came up with their own versions.It was in a huge demand that company couldn’t build enough minivans to meet the demand.

The Toyota Prius is a full hybrid electric automobile developed by Toyota and manufactured by the company since 1997 making it the first mass-produced hybrid vehicle.The Prius is sold in over 90 markets, with Japan and the United States being its largest markets.The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and California Air Resources Board (CARB) rate the Prius as among the cleanest vehicles sold in the United States based on smog-forming emissions.
