Covid 19: The government has increased its toughness amid increasing cases of coronavirus. Strict action is being taken on social distancing and wearing of masks. In this episode, today the Delhi High Court has made it mandatory for a person driving alone to wear a mask. The court said that the mask acts as a protective shield that prevents the corona from spreading.

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that the positivity rate in Delhi is running at 5% or more. Delhi government is increasing beds in hospitals, more than 2,000 beds have been increased in the last three days, 2,000-2,500 beds will increase in the next two-three days. Hearing the fine penalty for not wearing a mask while driving alone, Judge Pratibha M. Singh said, “Even if you are alone in the car, why object to wearing the mask? It is for your own safety.”

The court said “When a car stops at a traffic signal, a driver often has to close his window. The coronavirus is so contagious that even at that time, anyone can get infected.” The Delhi High Court said, “Scientists and international governments recommend wearing masks. A single bench of Justice Prathiba M Singh also dismissed all the petitions challenging the fine imposed on those who are alone in their cars. But we did not wear masks.

The total number of positive cases has increased to 1,28,01,785 in India in the last 24 hours after COVID19’s 1,15,736 new cases. After 630 new deaths, the total number of deaths has increased to 1,66,177. The total number of active cases in the country is 8,43,473 and the total number of discharged cases is 1,17,92,135.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, a total of 8,70,77,474 people have been vaccinated with the coronavirus. In India, more than 33 lakh doses of the Coronavirus vaccine have been given in the last 24 hours. The total vaccination figure in the country has reached beyond 8.7 crores.

The Delhi government has announced a night curfew in view of the rising Kovid-19 cases in the national capital. It will continue from 10 am to 5 am till 30 April. In Delhi, 5,100 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours. These are the most single-day cases after 27 November (5,482 cases). Health curfew will be exempted from healthcare workers and government officials on essential, emergency duty. Those traveling to airports, railway stations and interstate bus terminals are exempted.

Except in the case of a medical emergency, those traveling by private vehicles will not be exempted. According to the ANI, in view of the night curfew, Delhi Police checked the vehicles under security check from 10 o’clock last night. In the photographs, the policemen were seen doing security checks of the vehicles in Dhaulakuan.

Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said, “In view of the increasing cases of the corona, I have a meeting with the health ministers of 11 states. Those who are not following the Kovid instructions have to be dealt with strictly. Vaccination has to be developed as a movement in the country.
