According to the data released by Delhi Health Department at around 8 pm on Tuesday evening, a total of 13 thousand 468 corona cases have come up in the capital during the last twenty-four hours. This number is the highest increase in one day since the onset of the epidemic last year.

With this, 7,50,156 people have been infected in Delhi so far. However, 6,95,210 of these people have fully recovered after treatment. 81 corona patients have also died in Delhi in the last 24 hours. With this, the death toll from Corona in the capital has increased to 11,436. Please tell that on Monday, 11,491 new cases of the corona were reported in Delhi and 72 people lost their lives. Earlier on Sunday, 10,774 new cases were confirmed as well as 48 people died.

In an interview with a news channel amidst the growing cases of Corona, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made it clear that there is no need for a lockdown in the city at present. CM Kejriwal said that the corona does not end with the lockdown. By doing the lockdown, the speed of the corona is reduced, but once the lockdown is removed, the corona cases start increasing again. If the health system continues to function properly, then we will not think of lockdown. He further said that if beds are not available in Delhi, oxygen is not available.

If people are dying due to lack of treatment in hospitals, then lockdown will have to be imposed. There is no such situation at present. He said that we need the cooperation of citizens. Along with this, he also appealed to the Central Government to find alternative methods including online examinations by canceling the 10th and 12th board exams. Please tell that the CBSE 10th and 12th examinations will start on May 4. Already, the demand for cancellation of CBSE board examinations across the country has intensified.
