Did Parvez Parvaz get punishment for speaking against Yogi

Rhea Manch termed the punishment of Gorakhpur social activist Parvez Parvez, who sued Yogi Adityanath, the head of the state for hat speech, as another example of misuse of government machinery by the government. Manch said that in this case, the police had put a final report first and Parvaz was arrested on the same day the bail was to be heard.

Rhea Manch General Secretary Rajiv Yadav said that the decision to sentence social worker Parvez Parvaz to rigorous life imprisonment is unfortunate. This is not legal. Ignoring many facts and evidence and violating the principle of natural justice. Parvez Parvaz filed a petition against Yogi Adityanath in the Allahabad High Court, which was a conspiracy to avenge him. It was said in the petition that hate speeches were made by Yogi Adityanath and others after which a riot broke out in Gorakhpur.

After becoming the Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath took the process of withdrawal of the case. Constant pressure was made on Parvez Parvaz to withdraw the case. Finally, in June 2018, a case of gang rape was filed against Parvaz. Police investigation found the case to be fake and a final report was made.

It is worth noting that in the case related to Yogi Adityanath, there was a hearing in the Allahabad High Court on July 30 and in the Supreme Court on August 13. On the other hand, on 18 August 2018, SSP Gorakhpur ordered the advance investigation of the gang rape case of June 2018 on 12 August 2018. The question is that after the final report was made in the case, what was the report of 12 August 2018, on the basis of which the SSP again gave the advance investigation to the IO Inspector of the Women’s Police Station. How was the report summed up on August 12, without taking an advisory? Notice was also issued to witnesses on 16 that they should come and record their statement.

Advocate Farman Ahmed Naqvi, who has pleaded in the Allahabad High Court in this case, has also raised the question that until the final report is rejected and given to another IO, then any other deliberation can be done.
Mr. Yadav said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself gives a decree not to prosecute himself as a judge in the case registered against him and now action is being taken against him under political malice against Parvez Parvaz. All this is going beyond the law and is being done openly on the orders of Yogi Adityanath. Otherwise, the SSP should tell how a new advisor comes before his order and also gives the report. Even before this, YD Singh, a co-accused and former Legislative Council member with Yogi in the 2007 Gorakhpur communal violence case, had pressurized Parvez Parvez, the litigant of the case. He had filed a petition before Gorakhpur CJM and tried to get an FIR lodged against Parvez Parvaz.

YD Singh, a co-accused of communal violence with Yogi Adityanath, had alleged in the petition that the CDs of Parvez Parvaj’s speech in the 2007 riots of Yogi filed in the High Court and the Supreme Court were fake. In this, he also accused Parvez of being a communal person. Also, Parvez rioted and looted many shops. But he did not mention the name of any such shop or shop owner in which according to him, Parvez Parvaz had looted. It is worth mentioning here that in 2015, a similar petition was filed by YD Singh against Parvez Parvez before the Gorakhpur CJM which was rejected by the court.

All this is an attempt to weaken the cases filed against Yogi Adityanath. A day before the hearing of the Hate Speech case in the Supreme Court, SSP Gorakhpur suddenly ordered reconsideration in the gang rape case.
Rajiv said that on the basis of this review, Parvez Parvez was falsely implicated in which the police had already submitted the final report. Parvez Parvaz also wrote a letter to many constitutional and administrative institutions in this regard in 2018. Parvez Parvaz had expressed many times that he felt insecure after forming the Yogi government. Because he has voiced against Adityanath’s spiteful politics.

Parvez Parwaz’s wife has also complained that the Gorakhpur police is harassing him and his sons. While there is no lawsuit on any family member. The police is threatening and is conspiring to implicate in a fake case. All this so that Parvez should withdraw from the case. To break this battle of justice, Yogi Adityanath tortured Parvez and other members of his family in various ways. In this episode, a case was filed against Parvez at the police station Rajghat, district Gorakhpur. After Parvez went to jail, his family was so terrorized that he could not muster the courage to stay at home. One of Parvez’s sons is handicapped, helpless to hear and speak.
