Lotito started eating unusual things when he was 16 years old, his illness is called Pika in the medical language. It is a disease in which people cannot digest human food while eating unusual things easily digests. Initially, Lotito ate from his nails to pieces of glass and easily digest them.

According to reports, Lotito could not digest them whenever he ate normal things like bananas, boiled eggs or bread, but can easily digest any metal thing. While people from all over the world found his illness strange, Lotito liked to do so, it is said that a large number of people used to bring tickets to see him eating these strange things.

Lotito was seen sitting in front of people eating everything from beds to television sets, computers, bicycles and metal items. To eat things made of metal, he would first cut them into small pieces and eat them with an equal amount of water and mineral oil. He explained the reason behind drinking petrol because it makes his throat smooth, which made it easier to swallow metal things.
