ED raids on 13 locations of brother of Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot in Fertilizer scam case

The Enforcement Directorate has raided several locations of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s brother Agrasen amidst political turmoil and political crisis. According to the information, these raids are being conducted in the case of money laundering related to the fertilizer scam. It is being told that the ED is conducting the raids at the locations of them and their people all over the country. According to an ED official, the investigating agency is conducting searches and searches at at least 13 places in Rajasthan, West Bengal, Gujarat and Delhi. He told that searches are also being done at the locations of Agrasen Gehlot in Jodhpur. A fine of Rs 7 crore is being imposed in the case of this alleged fertilizer scam.

It is reported that based on the complaint and charge sheet of the Customs Department, the ED has registered a criminal case in the alleged fertilizer scam case. The ED is conducting raids under PMLA at 6 places in Rajasthan, 4 in Gujarat, 2 in West Bengal and one in Delhi.

It is worth noting that earlier on 13 July, the Income Tax Department raided the locations of a jewelery company in four cities including Jaipur. Income tax departments in Delhi, Jaipur and Mumbai were raided on Om Kothari Group, who are said to be close to Ashok Gehlot. The Income Tax Department also raided the Amrapali office of Rajiv Arora in Jaipur. Rajiv Arora is a member of the state Congress office. At the same time, the Income Tax Department also raided many places across the state including the office and residence of Congress leader Dharmendra Rathore.
