Ellen DeGeneres Apologises to Staff
The popular American Comedian, host, actress, writer and producer wrote a heart- rending message to the staff of her Television talk show saying she was making a step forward to improve the toxic working environment as per the accusation of a former employee.
The email had a thorough internal investigation by the production house of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” of the complaints that were made in account of bullying and racism faced by employees among the production staff.
The house said in statement that “not all of the allegations were verified to be true, we are disappointed that the primary findings of the investigation pointed to certain lacking in the day-to-day management of the show”.
The mail promised to bring about many changes that will be met in the staffing and the show’s working environment which weren’t revealed in the mail. Ellen in her apology to the former staff who pointed a parallel perspective of what is displayed in her show said “The Ellen DeGeneres would be a place of happiness I promised to everyone on the very first day….obviously something changed and I am disappointed to learn that this has not been the case”.
