Farah Khan writes an open letter to women; urges them to opt for IVF treatment

Filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan Kunder posted an open letter to women encouraging them to opt for In vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment and shared her own experience of embracing motherhood at 43 through it on social media on Monday.

Farah Khan Kunder is married to film-maker Shirish Kunder and she is a mother to triplets – one son and two daughters Czar, Diva and Anya. After failed attempts of trying to have a baby naturally for two years, the couple had opted for IVF treatment.

Farah shared two pictures on her Instagram handle and urged women to opt for IVF treatment, she captioned her post as, “Our choices make us. I became an IVF mom at 43 and I am glad I did so. I wish a great motherhood to all women out there who want to be mothers – naturally or otherwise. An open letter to all the women out there, reminding them that #ItsAWomansCall Are you with me ladies? Kudos to @SonyTVofficial for #Story9MonthsKi”.

In the first picture, Farah is seen sitting on a chair as she holds out the open letter in her hand. She is seen wearing a floral dress. The second picture is a snap of her open letter to the women about having a baby through IVF.

Farah started her letter by saying that as a daughter, wife and mother she had to make a lot of choices because of which she became a choreographer. She goes on to say that she is a proud mother today of three children. She wrote in the story, “I became a mother when I was ready for it, not when the society deems the appropriate age to concieve.” She thanked the advancement in science that she was able to concieve via IVF at her age. She also congratulated other women who are opting for this.

Farah then praised a TV soap of Sony called Story 9 Months Ki for its portrayal of IVF babies. She writes, “Technology has made it possible to have a normal baby through IVF with the help of a donor. Why not go for that option when we have it?” Lastly, she reminds everyone that it is always a women’s call.

Farah became a mother at the age of 43 via IVF in 2008. She often shares her kids’ pictures on social media for her fans and followers.

Last year, Farah Khan Kunder and Rohit Shetty made an announcement that both of them are working on a bollywood musical film which will be directed by Farah and produced by Shetty.

There were reports that the duo will be remaking Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini starrer 1982 hit film ‘Satte Pe Satta’, but they didn’t confirmed it and they further stated that the team will announce the star cast soon.
