Former India opener Gautam Gambhir is known for giving his opinion like his batting in an impeccable manner. Gautam always said that the captain is not the hero of victory but the whole team is. 11 players together make a better captain. They never believe that the credit for Team India’s victory should be given only to MS DHONI and Virat Kohli. Gambhir’s interview is going viral on social media in which he spoke openly about the captaincy of Team India.

Gambhir said in an interview to a news channel two years ago, “My relationship with Dhoni has been good, but I have my own views.” I believe since childhood that 15 of 15 players in team sports are as important as a captain. The captain’s decision leads his players to success. There should be bowlers and batsmen to implement the captain’s decision. The captain’s decision will be proved only if he has better players. I always say that you will not give all credit to Virat Kohli. The team has players like Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Ashwin, Jadeja and Jaspreet Bumrah. ”

Gambhir had said, “Why should the captain get all the credit.” Earlier Sourav Ganguly used to get all the credit. After that Mahendra Singh Dhoni and now Virat Kohli. You take someone to the level that other players feel that no one talks about it. After this, the team starts to suffer. “Gambhir played 58 Tests, 147 ODIs and 37 T20s for India. He also participated in 154 IPL matches.

At the time of Dhoni’s captaincy, Gambhir was the vice-captain of the team for a long time. He also captained many matches, but he was not made the regular captain after Dhoni. Regarding captaining Team India, Gautam had said, “Which player is not ready to captain India?” No one would have refused. People have left the captaincy after not getting success. It is a matter of pride to captain India in any sport. Every player is ready for this. ”
