The central government on Tuesday banned 43 more mobile apps, including Alibaba Workbench, CamCard, Snack Video. The release issued by the government stated that action on these apps has been taken under Section 69A of the IT Act. A comprehensive report was received by the Indian Cyber ​​Coordination Center under the Union Home Ministry regarding these apps. Earlier, on 29 June this year, the central government had banned 59 mobile apps including TikTok, UC Browser and 118 mobile apps on 2 September.

This action was also taken by the Central Government under Section 69A of the IT Act. Earlier, Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Sanjay Dhotre had told in Lok Sabha that 224 mobile apps including Helo, Tiktok and WeChat under section 69A of Information Technology Act 2000 in the interest of the defense, sovereignty and integrity of the country. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said that complaints were received against these mobile apps from several sources. Several such reports were received by the ministry which stated that Android has some such mobile apps available on Google Play Store and on iOS platform which are stealing users’ data and the data is illegally accessed on servers located outside India It used to be.

Among the more than 200 Chinese Apps blocked so far, many such mobile apps were also present which were quite popular among Indian users.
