IND vs ENG: Grand Motera Stadium to be inaugurated today, President and Home Minister will be present

President Ramnath Kovind will inaugurate the world’s largest Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, while Home Minister Amit Shah will also be present along with him. The third Test match between India and England is to be held from 24 February on this ground itself. Let me tell you that Motera Stadium was demolished in 2016 and it has been rebuilt again at a cost of about 800 crores.

Located in Gujarat, the stadium has many high-tech facilities. Motera Stadium is designed as per the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The ground has three corporate boxes, an international level swimming pool, an exclusive dressing room for indoor academy players, a clubhouse, and a food court.

Not only this, Motera is the first stadium in the country where both red and black pitches are present. A drainage system has been designed on this ground that the pitch can be dried in just 30 minutes in the event of torrential rain. A special autograph gallery has also been created in the stadium where historical matches from the World Cup to the present day and The IPL is a collection of bat signed by players.

In a way, this ground is very good. When India and England play on this ground, the audience will also be present. The old Motera Stadium previously had a seating capacity of 53,000, but now the capacity has been increased to 1.10 lakh in the new stadium. However, due to Corona, India-England third Test match will not have this much viewership.
