IND vs ENG: Virat Kohli may fall, may be suspended for a test

On the third day of the second Test match between India and England, captain Virat Kohli was seen arguing with onfield umpire Nitin Menon. Actually, the third umpire gave a not out after taking DRS against Joe Root. Virat Kohli was seen arguing with onfield umpire Nitin Menon during this period.

Explain that expressing displeasure or arguing over the umpire’s decision is under Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct. For this, the player can be charged level 1 or level two and one to four demerit points can be added to the player’s account. If a player gets four points added to his account within 24 months, he may have to face suspension from a Test, or two ODIs, or two T20 Internationals.

Explain that Virat Kohli already has two demerit points in his account and if he gets two more demerit points for this then he can be suspended from a Test match. However, the ICC has not taken any action against Virat Kohli.

Let us tell that India won the third Test match played against England by 317 runs. India has equalized 1-1 in the series after winning the second match. Now the third match of the series will be played as a Day-Night Test match at Ahmedabad’s Motera Stadium. If there is any action against captain Virat Kohli before the third match, then the problems of Team India will increase.
