India got a shock even before the tour of Australia! Virat Kohli may be out from two matches of the test series

The Indian cricket team is going to be back in action after the Corona era. A series of three T20s, three ODIs and four Test matches will start in Australia later this month. The BCCI has announced Team India going on tour to Australia. Virat Kohli is the captain in all three formats. There is bad news for the team before going on tour. Kohli may be out of two matches of the four-Test series.

It has been said that the Indian captain may skip the last two Tests due to the birth of his first child. Kohli, along with his wife Anushka Sharma, announced her pregnancy in August. She is due to give birth in early January. Although there is no official information about Kohli, according to sources, it is believed that he will leave the team after the first two Tests of the series starting on 17 December. If Kohli decides, Rahane will lead the Indian team.

Senior BCCI officer said, “BCCI has always believed that family is a priority. In this case, if the captain decides to avail of the paternity leave, he will be available only for the first two Tests. “Three ODIs will be played from November 25 to 30. There will be a series of 3 T20 matches between 4 to 8 December. The first Test will be held in Adelaide from 17 December. This will be India’s first day-night test abroad. The second Test will be played in Melbourne from 26 to 30 December, the third Test in Sydney from 7 to 11 January and the fourth Test in Brisbane from 15 to 19 January.

On the other hand, there is news about Rohit Sharma that BCCI may send him along with the team on 11 November. He was seen playing in the last two matches for Mumbai Indians. So it is believed that they are fit. They can be kept away from the T20 and ODI series as a precaution on tour. In this case, apart from Rohit, KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal and Prithvi Shaw will have three openers. If Kohli is not there, one of them can be placed in the middle order.
