India vs Australia: ‘Hitman’ Rohit Sharma broke silence over his injury, told why he played the IPL playoffs

Indian team opener Rohit Sharma was injured during the IPL. He went to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) after the tournament was over. Rohit is training there under the supervision of former captain Rahul Dravid. Talking about his injury for the first time, Rohit said that he is already fine and wants to leave no stone unturned for the series against Australia.

People are talking about Rohit’s injury in various ways. He was not selected for the ODI and T20 series against Australia. He then played in the IPL playoffs. On this, many veterans including Sunil Gavaskar had asked the board to clearly tell about Rohit.

Rohit said about these things, “I don’t know what is going on and what people are talking about.” I am constantly in touch with the BCCI and Mumbai Indians. I told Mumbai Indians that it is a short format and I can do fielding. I managed to handle that situation completely and now I am ready to do whatever is needed.

Rohit was out of some IPL matches due to injury. He later returned to the team before the playoffs and also played the final. In the final, he played a brilliant half-century. On the question of playing in the playoffs, Rohit said, “I made it clear that if I am not well then I will not be able to play the playoffs.” But I was fine so I participated in the playoffs and finals. “Mumbai’s team became the record champion for the fifth time.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly described Rohit as only 70% fit. Ganguly said, “Why don’t you ask them about this?” Due to fitness, he has not been selected in ODIs and T20 teams so far. He has been included in the Test team. “Before Rohit, fast bowler Ishant Sharma reached NCA. They are also injured. He too has to join the Test team on the tour of Australia. He bowled with full speed in front of Chief Selector Sunil Joshi and Dravid.
