Former Pakistan cricket team captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has roots in India. Walid (father) of Inzamam, born on 3 March 1970 in the Multan district of Punjab province of Pakistan, has a childhood in Hansi, Hisar district, Haryana. Inzamam had promised his father to go to Hansi and draw a picture there and send it to him. However, he was unable to visit his father’s birthplace during his 2005 visit to India due to security reasons.

Inzamam-ul-Haq told this to Ravichandran Ashwin on his YouTube channel. Ashwin had asked Inzamam to recount his memories of India. To this, Inzamam said, “Yes, Hansi is a place in Haryana.” All my elders lived there. My father Walid Saab’s childhood has also gone there. When we came to play the series in 2005, my father Saeed also came to India. Then he went to Hansi. Many other places were visited, from which their memories were attached. I also intended to go to Hansi with them, but I was not allowed by the security. ‘

The former captain of the Pakistan cricket team told, “Secondly I was also on the tour. I said that if I get permission to go even later, it was not done. ”Inzamam said,“ My father had come. They went all over the place. The mansion where we lived in India. He is still there. Yes, it is now dilapidated, but it is still there. These people did a tremendous job. My brother was also there. My father was also Saab. ‘

Inzamam said, “My father Walid also had a sister, Pushpa Aunty. I also met him. Let me tell you that Pushpa Aunty also came to Pakistan for my wedding. So whenever I went to India, it was very important to go to them, meet them. We have a family relationship with him.

Inzamam said, ‘I have too many memories of Babasta (connected) with India. My family, my family and much of my memories are associated with India. At first, all this (India and Pakistan) was the same. ”To this, Ashwin said,“ Yes brother, you are absolutely right. He is. It is a very old story. ”Ravichandran Ashwin then asked Inzamam a few questions about the match between India and Pakistan in the 2003 World Cup.
