IPL 2020, CSK vs KKR: Super Kings ready to spoil Knight Riders’ party

KKR had a poor start in IPL 2020. Due to the poor performance of the team, Dinesh Karthik decided to step down from the captaincy. The franchise then took a big decision, handing over the captaincy to world-winning captain and England player Eoin Morgan.

Despite Morgan being named captain, KKR’s journey has been volatile this season and the team is now in a dilemma of being eliminated from the playoffs. KKR have played 12 matches in the league so far, out of which 6 are ranked fifth in the points table with 12 wins and 12 points. KKR now have only two matches in which if they win, then they will get 16 points and then they will have the possibility of reaching the playoffs

KKR will face Chennai Super Kings in their remaining matches first, while Rajasthan Royals will face each other in the second match. Now it remains to be seen how captain Eoin Morgan manages to get his team out of this crisis. In the history of IPL, KKR has won two titles. But he has been in need of the trophy for a long time now.

In the current season, the KKR challenges to reach the playoffs have grown because the rest of the teams are also its contenders. In the IPL 13th season, only Chennai Super Kings have been eliminated from the playoff race and the remaining seven teams are also fighting. It cannot be confirmed that KKR will secure a place in the playoffs after earning 16 points.
