IPL 2020: RCB’s three mistakes that led to defeat against MI

Under the 48th match of IPL 2020, Mumbai Indians defeated RCB by 5 wickets. In the match played on the previous day, RCB scored 164 runs after losing 6 wickets in the first play. In response to this, Mumbai Indians won by losing 5 wickets in 19.1 overs.

In the match, Virat Kohli-led RCB made some mistakes which led to the team losing. We are going to count three RCB mistakes here. First mistake – RCB got a strong start in the match. The duo of Devdutt Padikkal and Josh Phillip had a great performance in power, but the latter did not last long.

Most of the RCB batsmen lost their wickets in short balls. Another mistake – captain Virat Kohli did not give great captaincy and did not use the bowlers properly. Virat Kohli did not bowl to Washington Sundar in the power play. This mistake fell heavily on RCB, as the batsmen in the power play gave Mumbai a decent start while batting.

Third mistake – Virat Kohli named Dale Steyn in the team instead of Isuru Udana against Mumbai Indians and his decision was proved wrong. Udana was performing brilliantly in the current season and was also giving away wickets to the team, instead Dale Steyn, who joined the team, could not perform effectively, causing a loss to the RCB team.
