ISL 2020: Entry of online betting companies in football too! Ban has been imposed on the website on the charge of gambling

The Indian Super League (ISL), the largest domestic football tournament in India, is going to start on 20 November. In the new season of ISL, ATK Mohun Bagan and Mumbai City will showcase the names of two different sports websites on the players’ jerseys as their major sponsors. One similarity between the two websites is that they are supported by online betting companies. Online betting companies are trying to enter Indian football through the door.

On 2 November, Mumbai chose DafaNews as its sponsors for the season. Four days later, ATK Mohun Bagan announced SBOTOP.net as its main sponsor on a two-year agreement. DafaNews is Duffabate’s company in the Philippines. Duffabet calls itself Asia’s largest online betting site. He also provides sports-related goods on the web for sports betting. The company also offers a welcome bonus, jackpot and free credit to the participants in betting.

On the other hand, SBOTOP.net provides betting suggestions and predictions for a wide range of sports including cricket and football. It also has many news and announcements related to SBOTOP. Accordingly, it is an online betting brand that is a part of the Isle of Man-based Celton Manx Group. Gambling and betting are banned under Indian law, but the issue of online gambling is one that is still in the courts.

On October 27, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy wrote a letter to Union Law, Electronics, Information Technology and Communications Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad saying that the state has made online gambling, online betting and online gambling a cognizable offense. DafNews parent company Dafabet is one of 132 websites banned by the state. SBOTOP recently named West Indies cricketer Dwayne Bravo as its brand ambassador.
