Sri Lankan all-rounder Thisara Perera continues his form in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2020. He battled hard in the 8th match of the tournament and hit a half-century off 22 balls. Jaffna Stallions captain Perera played an explosive inning of 68 off 28 balls against the Candy Tuskers. He had earlier played a stormy knock of 97 off 44 balls against Dambulla Viking in the fifth match of the tournament.

Jaffna captain Perera won the toss and decided to bat first. Avishka Fernando 3 and Minod Bhanuka returned to the pavilion after scoring 15 runs. 4 runs from the bat of Tom Morse and 9 from the bat of Shoaib Malik.
