Big news is coming for lakhs of farmers of Maharashtra. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has made a big announcement to waive up to 2 lakh loans of farmers. The Shiv Sena-NCP and Congress’s Mahavikas Aghadi government have made this big announcement in the interest of farmers by implementing the promises made in the Common Miminon Program.
On Saturday, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray made an announcement related to the debt waiver of the farmers in the assembly, saying that by September 2019, the people who have taken loans from the bank, will be forgiven by next March and direct cash will be transferred to the banks. Uddhav Thackeray has announced loan waiver of up to 2 lakhs of farmers under Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Shetkari Karjammukti Yojana.
Last year, after the Congress government was formed in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Punjab, the debt waiver of farmers was announced. The Congress had waived the loans of the farmers as per the election promise. In Karnataka too, the debt waiver of farmers was announced soon after the formation of the Congress-JDS government. However, there was also a dispute about implements.
