Maruti’s S-Presso ‘Unsafe’ in India, African model more secure, know the difference

Maruti Suzuki’s mini SUV S-Presso may be considered an unsafe car in India but the model is safer in South Africa. This claim is made from the official tweeter handle of Suzuki South Africa.

It clearly states that the S-Presso sold in South Africa is safer than the Indian model. Suzuki South Africa made this claim at a time when the S-Presso received a zero rating in the recent Global NCAP crash test. According to Suzuki South Africa, the S-Presso in South Africa has two airbags as standard, but this is not the case in India. The interesting thing is that the models which are sold in South Africa are also exported from India.

What was lacking in the Indian model: Recently, the Global NCAP in its report raised many questions about the S-Presso model. The NCAP said that during the crash test, the safety of the driver driving the car and the person sitting on the seat next to it is threatened. Apart from this, the company is also not able to provide security to the neck of the person sitting on the side seat. India’s model S-Presso is also not able to withstand much loading.

Price and Look: The starting price of the Indian model is less than Rs 4 lakh. At the same time, the front look is quite bold. The front and rear bumpers have a special attraction. Facilities like rear parking sensors, seat belt reminders and speed alert systems are available in all variants. However, dual front airbags are available only in the top variants. This small car of Maruti Suzuki has a fuel tank of 27 liters capacity. This mini SUV from Maruti Suzuki was launched in September last year.
