Milap Zaveri is very pleased with my performance in ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ says Divya Khosla Kumar

Actress Divya Khosla Kumar, who will next be seen in a film titled ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’, has said that director of the film Milap Zaveri is very pleased with her performance in upcoming vigilante action film. She also praised her co-actor John Abraham saying that he is very supporting actor and she hoped that audience will appreciate their performance in the film after its release.

Divya Khosla Kumar was interacting with the media to promote her recently released music video ‘Besharam Bewaffa’ on Monday in Mumbai.

Talking about her character in ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’, Divya said, “I am playing the role of a character named Vidya in the film. Milap (Zaveri) has very beautifully visualized this character for the film and he told me that he wanted a very strong woman. She is very elegant and a perfect example of Indian woman yet she has a very strong personality. I am glad to say that Milap is very pleased with my performance in the film. We are still shooting for the film. Yesterday, I came here in Mumbai for three days from Lucknow where we are shooting the film. I will resume shooting of the film on 02nd December and we will shoot the film till January.”

A few days back, Divya Khosla Kumar celebrated her birthday in Lucknow on the sets of Satyameva Jayate 2. Film’s lead actor John Abraham, director Milap Zaveri and her producer husband Bhushan Kumar were present on the occasion. The pictures showed Divya dressed in red ghagra choli and celebrating her birthday with the cast and crew of the film, when asked Divya whether she was worried that her look from the film will get leaked before the film’s release, she said, “During that time, we were shooting for a song. Milap and John started forcing me to cut the cake, so I told them that I can’t pose for the cameras because it will reveal my look from the film but then they told me that they are okay with it. I thought that my look shouldn’t be leaked but my director and co-actor was okay with it, so we went ahead with it.”

Sharing her experience working with John Abraham in the film, Divya said, “I am very happy to be a part of ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ along with John Abraham. He is such a good co-star. I share a very happy and beautiful relationship with him and he is really giving as a co-actor. I think our chemistry is also looking really good in the film, so I am having a really nice experience shooting the film. I hope that the audience will appreciate our work when the film will release in theatres.”

‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ also features Manoj Bajpayee, Amyra Dastur and Nora Fatehi in key roles. The film is releasing on 12 May 2021, coinciding with Eid.

‘Besharam Bewaffa’ song features Divya Khosla Kumar, Gautam Gulati and Siddharth Gupta. Divya has been a part of several successful music videos in the past as well. Her recently released music video has got more than 1.2 million views and it’s currently trending at number one spot on YouTube, talking about audience response to the music video, Divya said “When I do a certain song that time, I don’t fix a certain target in my mind in terms of views or anything. I just do it with a lot of dedication and hard work and apart from that, everything is in the hands of God and the audience. I feel really happy when the audience connects with my work be it my previous films or music videos. I have observed that there are a lot of teenage girls who have created fan pages for me on social media and they put up really good content of mine on social media, so I am thankful to my fans for their love and support. When I was shooting for ‘Beshram Bewaffa’ that time, the biggest challenge for me was how I can act differently than my previous music videos. I always try to surrender myself to the vision of directors and I am happy that till now, I have been successful while doing that.”

‘Besharam Bewaffa’ is sung by B Praak and it is written and composed by Jaani. The music video is directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru and is currently streaming on T-Series’ official YouTube channel.
