‘Next Time It Won’t Be At Dawn’: Fadnavis, One Year On From Oath-taking With Ajit Pawar

‘The next oath in darkness will not be like last time’. This is to say that Devendra Fadnavis, leader of Bharatiya Janata Party and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Devendra Fadnavis said during a media interaction on Monday that after the fall of the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi government, we will form a new government.

The swearing-in of the new government will take place at the right time. Not in the dark and then the incident will not happen again. The special thing is that this statement of Devendra Fadnavis came when the party formed 80 hours of government in Maharashtra exactly one year ago.

After the results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections of 2019, Devendra Fadnavis claimed to form the government with the help of NCP leader Ajit Pawar. On 23 November 2019, Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar were sworn in as Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers. The oath was taken by both the leaders at the Raj Bhavan in Mumbai. However, soon Ajit Pawar resigned as the deputy CM and this government fell in just 80 hours.

After this, the Mahavikas Aghadi coalition government was formed under the leadership of Shiv Sena in the state. Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray was sworn in as CM and Ajit Pawar became deputy CM.

In that election, BJP had won a maximum of 105 seats. Shiv Sena won 56 seats, NCP 54 and Congress 44 seats. Now Devendra Fadnavis has expressed confidence that in the next 1-2 months, the BJP will return to power again and form the government. He said that ‘Do not think that our government will not be formed … it will be formed in 2-3 months only. We are just waiting for the Legislative Council election to end. ‘

The former chief minister is also writing a book about the 80-hour government that has been recorded in the history of the state. He also revealed this on Monday. Fadnavis said that I am writing a book about the swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Minister’s post at Raj Bhavan in the early hours of 23 November a year ago. I do not want to forget this incident. ”On Monday, he said that such incidents should not be missed.
