Quinton de Kock removed from captaincy; now these two players got command of South Africa team

South Africa’s captaincy of Quinton de Kock has fallen after the defeat in the Test and T20 series on the tour of Pakistan. In fact, Cricket South Africa has removed Quinton de Kock from the captaincy and a new captain has been announced for the Test, ODI and T20 teams.

Taking important decisions, the board has given Dean Elgar the captain of the Test team and Temba Bavuma has been given the responsibility of captaining the ODI and T20 team. Cricket South Africa has informed about this important decision on Thursday.

While giving information about the appointment of the new captain, Cricket South Africa said in a statement that, with Burma taking command of the team in the T20 World Cup to be held in 2021 and 2022, as well as the ODI World Cup in India in 2023, Dean Elgar Test Tests will remain captain of the team until the championship.

On this, South African director Graeme Smith said that we are grateful for the way Quinton Deacock captained him in the ODI and T20 formats. We are thankful to him that he took command of the team in difficult circumstances. Let us tell you that last year, Quintan Doc was taking command of South Africa in three formats. However, it was certain that he would not be able to permanently captain the three formats. The South Africa team now shows how they perform under the leadership of the new captains, or it remains to be seen.
