Rohit Sharma has also been included in Team India for the Test series. Since Rohit Sharma was injured during the IPL. Since he suffered a hamstring problem, he would have to complete his rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore. Only then will he be able to leave for the Australia tour. As per BCCI rules, contracted Indian players suffering from injury have to complete their rehab in the NCA.

Sources privy to the development told ANI that he would return to India along with other members of Mumbai Indians (MI). He will then complete his rehab at the NCA. He will probably go to NCA after Diwali to complete his rehab.

“He will come to Mumbai with the team and then go to NCA as this is the rule for BCCI contracted players recovering from injury,” the source said. You can expect them to celebrate Diwali at home and then to Bengaluru. He is an integral part of the Test team. “The Test team and their responsibility will be more important as Virat Kohli will return home after the first Test,” the source said.

The first Test on the tour of Australia is to be played at the Adelaide Oval in the floodlight from 17 to 21 December. The second is the Boxing Day Test, which will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground from 26 to 30 December.
