A few days back, Shamita Shetty announced her new web series Black Widows which will soon be premiered on Zee5. This left her fans excited to see her after a long gap. Today the actress shared behind the scenes from the sets of the show. The sharara girl of Bollywood Shamita shared the photo and wrote, “Behind the scenes.#blackwidowsonzee5.”

In the picture, you can see Swastika Mukherjee along with Shamita. In the month of June, it was announced that Scandinavian producers Roope Lehtinen and Mikko Polla’s crime drama ‘Black Widows’ will be made in its Indian adaptation.

Prior to this, seven international remakes of the super hit show have already been made in Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania, the Middle East, Mexico, Scandinavia and the Czech Republic. The show revolves around the lives of three best friends who try to kill their abusive husbands. Last week, the cast of the Indian adaptation was announced where Shamita Shetty, Mona Singh and Swastika Mukherjee have been roped in to play the female leads.

It will also have Sharad Kelkar, Raima Sen, Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Aamir Ali in prominent roles. The show is dark humor and will have two seasons where the first season is scheduled to release in December this year. The show is directed by Birsa Dasgupta and it will be shot in Kolkata. The show will stream on Zee5.

Meanwhile, Shamita will also be soon seen in the movie ‘The Tenant’ which has been directed by Sushrut Jain. It is a mysterious drama that revolves around the life of a woman who moves into a traditional housing society. How she troubles society forms the crux of the film.
