Suicide Prevention Day 2020: Let’s help save a life.
You know what’s inevitable? Loneliness and despair.
Loneliness isn’t about absence of people, it’s about your state of mind. I, physically might be present there, all smiley and completely immersed into the conversation but mentally I can still be lonely, I can still be alone. It’s okay. I feel so because i am not okay AND it’s completely okay to not be okay.
Every one person in six is not okay. The part of their life which people show on social media is the best; serving to it’s purpose of filtering and bringing out the best – the bright, all beautiful and perfect. No one shows their dark side, the unhappy side.
No matter how difficult the situation is, suicide is never a solution.
And now, amidst this pandemic people’s mental health is degrading and is more affected than in normal days. Please check up on your friends and hear to them, their story. A few minutes of your day can save someone’s life.
And if You are going through a hard time right now,
I want you to know that it’s fine to have bad days.
It’s okay to say ‘no’.
It’s okay to feel things others are not.
It’s okay to not be perfect because absolutely no one is perfect.
It’s all okay, it’s completely okay.
You’re one unique beautiful creation of the universe and you deserve to be loved too. You deserve to be appreciated too. Your mental health is as important as your physical health.
It’s okay to seek help. It’s important for you to open up because #YouMatter.
