It’s really hard to keep a watch when you’re boiling the milk. No matter how closely you watch, just a second of distraction and it boils all over the stove. And it’s so difficult to clean that mess. It spreads all over the stove and slab which is hard to clean. Well, there are ways to prevent your milk from spilling so you don’t want that mess in your kitchen.

Here are a few ways to prevent milk from spilling:

Rubbing Butter On The Rim- One easy way to prevent your milk from spilling at the time it boils is to rub the rim of the vessel and a little inside with a cube of butter. Make sure you don’t use much of it, just a little bit to make it greasy. This way it saves your milk from over-boiling or burning. Spill Stopper-Spill stoppers are easily available in the market these days. These are especially designed to save you from all the boiling problems. They are silicone-based rubber discs that are used to cover the boiling vessel. All you have to do is stretch and fit it properly on the sides of the vessel. This way it will contain the boiled milk in the middle of the pot and will not let it overflow. Also, it is made of silicone so it will not melt and won’t harm the quality of the milk.

Sprinkle Water On The Foam-Even after boiling the milk on a low flame it might spill over so in that situation all you can do is sprinkle few drops of water on the foam. As soon as you sprinkle water on the foam, the boiling milk will go down. Just make sure that you don’t sprinkle a lot of water. You can use this trick to boil your milk on low flame for some time.
