66 percent of the MLAs elected in Bihar are of criminal image. In the last election, 142 tainted candidates had won and in 2005 only 100 MLAs were tipped. Among the tainted MLAs, the maximum number of cases are filed against Bahubali Anant Singh. In this, the names of Anant Singh (RJD), Reetlal Rai (RJD), Ajay Yadav (RJD), Amarjeet Kushwaha and RJD’s Mehboob can be named prominently.

This time, 42 out of 43 from JDU, 73 out of 74 of BJP, 75 out of 75 of RJD, 18 out of 19 of Congress, one of LJP, MLA are on trial. RJD tops this case. The RJD is also the party to win the most seats in Bihar.

Talk about the elderly, 58 legislators have become leaders whose age is between 61 and 70 in this assembly election. This figure was only 49 in 2015. At the same time in 2005, no such old candidate had won. 35 candidates aged 25 to 40 and 37 candidates aged 41 to 60 have won. The oldest MLA is Vijendra Yadav from JDU’s Supaul who is 74 years old. This is followed by Jitanram Manjhi (74 years) from Imamganj and Mevalal Chaudhary (74 years) of JDU. JDU has the highest number of elderly MLAs, 12 and BJP has 21 elderly MLAs.
