Twinkle Khanna wishes her son Aarav on his 18th birthday

Actress and author Twinkle Khanna wrote a heartfelt note on her social media on Tuesday to wish her son Aarav Kumar on his 18th Birthday. In the note, Twinkle added that Aarav has been acted as her teacher and taught her lessons about optimism and kindness.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Twinkle shared a happy family picture in which Akshay Kumar can be seen flaunting his salt and pepper mustache while his son Aarav, wife Twinkle, daughter Nitara and sister Alka Bhatia can be seen flaunting a fake mustache.

Along with the picture, Twinkle wrote, “Happy 18th birthday Aarav! Here is something I had written for you once and to keep loosening the strings and finally cutting them off this year has not been easy.

All these years you have been as much my teacher as I have been yours. I learned optimism, kindness and wonder from you as I taught you maths, a few manners and how to switch the lights off when you leave the room. But looking at you growing up and listening to you repeatedly tell me how much you are looking forward to your independence, I have started realizing that when you finally leave my home, my world and step into your own, my lights will go off automatically and my world will be filled with a bleak darkness. Though whenever you return for a visit, I will light numerous diyas and pretend that this is not a permanent power failure; we are just celebrating Diwali.

Akshay Kumar married Twinkle Khanna, the daughter of actors Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia in January 2001. Akshay and Twinkle’s s son Aarav was born in September 2002 and their daughter Nitara was born in September 2012. Akshay and Twinkle are known as protective parents and as they keep their children away from the media.

But for last few years, Aarav is often spotted with his friend Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan and few other friends by the paparazzi. Earlier in an interview, Akshay said that his son is way too young to become an actor. He added saying that he (Aarav) is interested only in his studies and once he is done with his studies in Mumbai, he intends to continue further studies in London. In fact, he has even identified the school in London that he wants to attend.

On the film front, Akshay Kumar next will be seen onscreen in Rohit Shetty’s action film ‘Sooryavanshi’, Dr. Chandrapraksh Dwivedi’s historical drama film ‘Prithviraj’, Anand L Rai’s romantic drama film ‘Atrangi Re’ and Ranjeet Tewari’s spy thriller film ‘Bell Bottom’.\
