The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released a list of 13 candidates for the West Bengal assembly elections on Tuesday morning.

The party has nominated Subha Pradhan from Kalimpong, Neeraj Tamang Jimba (MLA) from Darjeeling and Vishnu Prasad Sharma from Kurseong under the fifth phase in this list. The five names included in the list for the sixth phase include Subhash Sinha from Karandidhi, Amit Kumar Kundu from Itahar, Vishwajit Das (MLA) from Bagda, Ashok Kritonia from Bangaon North and Subroto Thakur from Gaighat.

In the seventh phase, the party fielded Ashok Lahiri from Balurghat and Lieutenant General Subroto Saha from Rash Bihari, while for the eighth phase Subrata Moitra from Bahrampur seat, Devabrata Majhi from Chowrangi and Shivaji Sinha Rai from Kashipur Belgachia. Let us know that there are eight elections to be held in Bengal.

When are voting and counting?

Congress is contesting in West Bengal in alliance with the Left parties and the Indian Secular Front. Votes will be cast in different constituencies in the state on March 27, April 1, April 6, April 10, April 17, April 22, April 26 and April 29. There are a total of 294 assembly seats in the state. The counting of votes will take place on May 2.
