President Kovind expressed his condolences for the martyrdom of 22 soldiers in the Bijapur encounter. He tweeted from his official Twitter account, “The killing of our security personnel in Chhattisgarh while battling the Maoist insurgency is a matter of deep pain. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families. The country shares the pain of the families of the jawans and makes this sacrifice Will never forget it. ”

On this incident, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to the state Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on the phone and inquired about the incident. He assured CM Baghel over the phone to jointly fight against Naxal violence and win. Apart from this, the country’s Home Minister also directed the Director-General of CRPF to visit the spot.

In a tweet in this regard, Amit Shah said that the country’s government will continue its fight against the enemies of peace and progress. He bowed down the martyred soldiers while fighting the Maoists in Chhattisgarh and said that the nation will never forget his valor. He expressed condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers.

Earlier, the Deputy Inspector General of Police of the state’s anti-Naxal operations had informed that a joint team of CRPF’s Cobra Battalion, DRG and STF from Bijapur and Sukma district were dispatched in the anti-Naxal operation on Friday night. Two thousand soldiers from Tarrem, Pameed and Usur of Bijapur and Minapa and Narasapuram in Sukma district participated in this encounter.
