After 17,407 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in India, the number of infected in the country has increased to 1,11,56,923. More than 17 thousand cases have been reported in the country after about a month. According to official figures, on January 29, 18,855 new cases of the virus were reported in 24 hours. According to the updated data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Thursday, 89 more patients died due to infection in the last 24 hours and the death toll has increased to 1,57,435.

According to statistics, 1,73,413 people are currently undergoing treatment for corona virus infection in the country, which is 1.55 percent of the total cases. With 1,08,26,075 people becoming infection-free in the country, the national rate of recovery of patients has increased to 97.03 percent. The death rate from Kovid-19 is 1.41 percent.

The number of infected people in the country had increased to 20 lakh on August 7 last year, 30 lakh on 23 August and 40 lakh on 5 September. At the same time, the total cases of infection had crossed 50 lakh on 16 September, 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October and 90 lakh on 20 November and one crore on 19 December. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 21,91,78,908 samples have been tested in Kovid-19 till March 3 in the country. Of these, 7,75,631 samples were tested on Wednesday.
