Pakistan will receive 45 million doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca Coronavirus vaccine made in India under the Global Alliance for Vaccine and Immunization (Gavi). The International Vaccine Alliance will provide free circulated vaccine doses to GAVI, Pakistan. These Kovid-19 vaccine doses are among the doses by GAVI, which serve to increase vaccination penetration from India to poorer countries. According to officials, Pakistan will receive the first batch of AstraZeneca vaccine by the Serum Institute of India by mid-March and the rest is expected by June.

The total number of positive cases in India in the last 24 hours after COVID19 17,921 new cases came to 1,12,62,707. After 133 new deaths, the total number of deaths has increased to 1,58,063. The total number of active cases in the country is now 1,84,598 and the total number of discharged cases is 1,09,20,046. Coronavirus vaccine has been administered to a total of 2,43,67,906 people in the country. Till yesterday, a total of 22,34,79,877 sample tests have been done in India for Coronavirus, out of which 7,63,081 samples were tested yesterday.
