I Was Very Sure To Make A Film On Sadhu Lynching And Cow Slaughtering Issue Says Siddhant Issar

Last year in April, two sadhus were lynched in Palghar, Maharashtra. The incident was deeply condemned by some people in the society but eventually, everyone chose to keep quiet.
Siddhant Issar, son of veteran actor Puneet Issar has written and directed a short film ‘Sanghaar The Massacre’ which showcases the incident and also condemns cow slaughtering in the country.

The film is releasing on YouTube on 16th April and before the release of the film, Siddhant spoke to News Helpline about the film and what inspired him to make a film on this topic.
The teaser of the film got a good response from the audience. Talking about the same he said, “People are commenting that finally, someone raised the voice on this topic. I wanted to raise awareness amongst the people about the incident. I am getting positive responses from everyone and people are waiting to watch the film.”

Talking about the film, he said, “In our country, we follow Sanatan Dharma which teaches us that we should be kind to animals. But last year two incidents came forward about slaughtering cows and how a pregnant elephant was killed in Kerala. Therefore, I wanted to highlight this issue as well. ”

Siddhant has written, directed and even acted in the film. When asked what was more challenging for him, he answered, “I am a theatre artist. An artist always expresses something through any medium. When I write, I express through my writing, when I act, I express through my acting. But I think you get more involved in something when you are directing it.”

What made him choose this topic for his film, talking about the same, he said, “Sometimes an idea comes to your mind and it goes away. But this idea stayed with me post the incident. I was very sure to make a film on sadhu lynching and cow slaughtering issues. ”
The film is releasing on 16th April on YouTube and features Puneet Issar, Siddhant Issar, Gufi Paintal, Satyajeet Puri, Pramod Kumar, Ridhima Rakesh Bedi, Vijeyta Bharadwaj, Shai Lendra Shrivastav and Sagar Salunkey
