Actor-model Siddharth Gupta, who last two music video ‘Vaaste’ and ‘Besharam Bewaffa’, has garnered a huge response from the audience, has assured his fans that he will soon make some good announcements in terms of upcoming films. He added saying that is important for an actor to always review his career and make realistic goals.
Siddharth Gupta was interacting with the media on Thursday in Mumbai.
Talking about his upcoming projects, Siddharth said, “I want to do quality work. I feel you should always review your career and make realistic goals. Right now, I am working on a few music videos. I am also concentrating on making my career in films. I am in talks with the makers regarding that but I want to talk about it once it is finalized. I can only assure you that you will get to hear some good announcements from my end.”
When asked Siddharth his list of dream directors with whom he wants to collaborate in the future, he said, “I want to collaborate with filmmakers like Zoya Akhtar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I really like the work of Karan Johar. I think he is an underrated director because I personally feel that he brings out the best feelings from an actor. Apart from them, I would like to work with Aditya Chopra and Imtiaz Ali because I am a huge admirer of their work.”
Siddharth Gupta has acted in the 2014 released film ‘Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi’. He has worked as a host in the television show ‘MTV Jhand Hogi Sabki’. He has also featured in web series named ‘Ragini MMS: Returns’. His last music video ‘Vaaste’ in which featured along with singer Dhvani Bhanushai created a record by crossing one billion views and 8.2 million likes on YouTube through November 2020. It was declared the 10th most liked music video worldwide on YouTube for 2019.
When asked Siddharth whether he feels that ‘Besharam Bewaffa’ should also cross one billion views, he said, “I think ‘Besharam Bewaffa’ should also cross one billion views, so that I can tell T-Series that I am their lucky boy and I want to be a part their each and every project (laughs). I personally feel that luck is a very important factor in this industry. You can be really talented and hardworking but if once you do a certain project then whether it works or not depends a lot on your luck. I am a workhorse and I believe in doing my work with a lot of hard work and dedication but once I finish one project then I leave it on my luck, so I like to take success and failure in a good spirit.”
Siddarth Gupta latest music video ‘Besharam Bewaffa’ has garnered more than 38 million views within a few days of its release and it is currently trending at number fourth spot on YouTube, talking about audience response to the song, Siddharth said, “After lockdown, I didn’t expect that I will get to do good work in such a short period. I feel very lucky to get the opportunity to feature in this song. My previous music video ‘Vaaste’ has got more than one billion views on various social media platforms. When I was shooting for ‘Besharam Bewaffa’, on that day only ‘Vaaste’ crossed one billion views, so we had a nice party while we were shooting the song.”
He added, “I always had fun working with our director Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru and this time was no different. Bhushan (Kumar) sir and Divya (Khosla Kumar) madam always had faith in me and that gives me a lot of motivation to put up my best effort. During the release of ‘Besharam Bewaffa’, I was really nervous because my previous song ‘Vaaste’ has become a huge hit like ‘Sholay’ but I am really glad that ‘Besharam Bewaffa’ has also got a huge response from the audience and it is one of the top rate songs since its release, so it feels very overwhelming and I haven’t been able to sleep since last few days.”
