जयपुर डेस्क!!! NCP chief Sharad Pawar seems to be working for opposition unity with an aim to compete and defeat the BJP in the next Lok Sabha elections. Today he is scheduled to meet leaders of several opposition parties and other prominent experts from various fields in the capital Delhi. NCP national spokesperson and Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik said that the meeting will take place this evening at Pawar’s Delhi residence. Sanjay Singh, Farooq Abdullah of the National Conference (NC), D. Raja of the Communist Party of India (CPI) and others are likely to be involved. In addition, Justice A. P. Singh (Retd.), Javed Akhtar, K.T.S. Tulsi, Karan Thapar, Ashutosh, A. Majeed Memon, Vandana Chavan, S.Y. Qureshi, KC. Singh, Sanjay Jha, Sudheendra Kulkarni, Colin Gonsalves, Ghanshyam Tiwari and Pritish Nandy, among others.
Pawar met PK twice in 10 days
Earlier, Sharad Pawar met election strategist Prashant Kishor for the second time in ten days. The buzz is that the Kishor-Pawar meeting could be part of a bigger plan aimed at uniting like-minded parties ahead of the next general elections.
