IND VS ENG: BCCI’s big decision, first 2 Test matches of India-England series will be in the empty stadium

The Test match series between India and England is going to start from 5 February. The first two matches of the series will be played without an audience at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. According to the news, a top official of the host association TNCA gave this information on Friday.

According to TNCA secretary RS Ramaswamy, two Test matches will be played without spectators as per Indian cricket’s instructions given the Kovid-19 conditions. Talking to the news agency about this, he said, yes, in view of the situation caused by the virus, spectators will not be allowed to visit the stadium in two Tests.

Also, a circular has been sent to TNC members on January 20 stating that the decision to play the matches without an audience has been taken with the BCCI. According to Sarkulkar, the BCCI has decided not to take any risk with the players during the India-England Test series, given the current circumstances of the Kovid-19 epidemic.

Let us tell you that the teams of India and England will reach Chennai by 27 January. After this, Kovid-19 will have to be tested before entering the bio-bubble. It is to be noted that the Central Government recently announced that outdoor sports activities can be conducted with a 50 percent audience following the standard operating procedure. But the BCCI has decided to conduct it between India and England without an audience.
