In the final of IPL 2020, Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by 5 wickets. The team went on to record a fifth and second consecutive championship. Mumbai broke Delhi’s heart with this victory. Shreyas Iyer’s team landed for the first time to become champions but did not succeed. Delhi gave Mumbai a target of 157 runs. Mumbai achieved this by scoring 157 runs for 5 wickets in 18.4 overs. Mumbai’s team became the second team to win the title in two consecutive seasons. He defeated Chennai Super Kings in the final of last season. Chennai had won two consecutive titles in 2010 and 2011. This is Rohit Sharma’s sixth title in the IPL. He has once won the title for Deccan Chargers.

Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 68 off 51 balls. He hit 5 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. He became a victim of Enrich Nortje. Mumbai got its first setback as Quinton de Kock. He became the victim of Marcus Stoinis by scoring 20 runs off 12 balls. Rishabh Pant took his catch. Stoinis was out on the first ball and also took a wicket on the first ball. Suryakumar Yadav was run out after scoring 19 runs.

Captain Shreyas Iyer scored the highest unbeaten 65 runs for Delhi. Iyer’s season has completed 500 runs. Rishabh Pant’s bat debuted for the first time this season. He scored his first half-century in IPL 2020. He returned to the pavilion after scoring 56 runs off 38 balls. Bolton was dismissed by Shimron Hetmyer (5).
