Last year IPL 2020 was held in UAE due to the effect of Coronavirus. This year, this tournament is happening in India and the BCCI has made many preparations for it. The BCCI has made several preparations this year keeping the corona in mind. Now only a few days are left for this tournament to start and before that, a big news has come out. In fact, 10 ten ground men have been hit by Corona at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

As per the report by Sportstar, 19 ground staff members had their RT-PCR test done for Kovid-19 last week. During this period, on 26 March, three and 1 April five members have tested positive for Corona. At the same time, some other media reports claim that so far a total of 10 members have done a positive test for Corona. Let it be said that it has not yet been ascertained whether the players found infected in the first round of testing were Isolated.

According to the report, after the Wankhede staff were found positive, the Mumbai Cricket Association could bring the staff from the Sharad Pawar Academy in Bandra-Kurla Complex and the Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana in Kandivali to Wankhede, so that there is no reduction in the preparations.

A total of 10 matches are to be played from April 10 to 25 in Mumbai’s Wankhede. However, no team has been allowed to visit Wankhede till now. But all the franchisees have taken care to increase the corona testing of players and officials. On the other hand, the board has also kept an eye on this incident and the board is considering two more different Venues. Corona cases are constantly increasing in Maharashtra and if the situation worsens in the coming days, then the board can organize IPL matches at some other place instead of Mumbai.
