IPL 2021: Sanju Samson created history as captain, Achieved this thing

Playing against Punjab Kings in IPL 2021, Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson showed brilliantly. However, his team could not win. In the fourth match of IPL, Rajasthan and Punjab clashed at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday.

Despite the century of captain Sanju Samson in the match, Rajasthan suffered a defeat by 4 runs. In the first play, Punjab scored 221 runs for 6 wickets, while in reply Rajasthan’s team managed to score 217 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Rajasthan team struggled till the last ball to win the match but could not get success.

Sanju Samson created history by scoring a century in the first match as captain. Samson became the first player in IPL history as a captain to score a century in his very first match on the basis of a century off 54 balls. Overall this was his third century in the IPL. Virat Kohli tops the list of batsmen who have scored the most centuries in IPL from India.

Samson is at number two. Sanju Samson smashed 119 off 63 balls with the help of 12 fours and 7 sixes. His innings as captain is more than any other Indian player’s score. Earlier, the highest score of a player debuting as captain was 93 which Shreyasayar made against KKR for Delhi Capitals in 2018. Sanju Samson is getting praise from the veterans after a great performance.
