The result of the election for Jammu and Kashmir District Development Council (DDC) will be declared today i.e. on Tuesday. Earlier many leaders have been taken into custody. Voting was first held in Jammu and Kashmir after Article 370 was removed, so this election is very important. The BJP is considering this election as its stamp. Voting was conducted here in eight phases, in which people participated in a big way.

Counting of votes has started in 280 DDC seats from 9 am. Security arrangements have been made for this. The counting process will be closely monitored and records will also be maintained. PDP claims that many of its leaders have been taken into custody on Monday. The police is silent in this matter.

Independent candidate Mohammad Maqbool Chopan has won from Harman seat. PAGP candidates are ahead in Singhrupa Pattan. As of 1:20 pm, the group is ahead in 72, BJP 55, Congress 15 and other 27 seats. The people of Jammu and Kashmir got the opportunity to vote in the DDC elections for the first time in 70 years. It is a matter of pleasure that people participated enthusiastically.
