Modi warns voters in Assam, beware of Congress ‘lies’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that when the Congress-led government was in the Center and Assam, there was ‘double neglect, double corruption’, but now the BJP’s ‘double engine government’ will make the state self-reliant. Modi, hoping to retain the BJP’s power in Assam, declared – “BJP government for the second time, NDA government for the second time and double-engine government for the second time.”

After 70 years the law has been amended to promote bamboo-based industries, plantation, value addition of bamboo, to empower thousands of artisans who make thousands of items from bamboo.
Promising all-round benefits to millions of tea garden workers in Assam after the elections, Modi said that after coming to power in 2016, the BJP government in the state increased the daily wages of tea plantation workers twice, while this year’s central A budget of Rs 1,000 crore for tea plantation workers was announced in the budget.
